we stumble
searching
locating ourselves
projecting to the world
what we’ve become
but only our pain
or achievements
are large enough to share
one side of the scale
or the other
we don’t listen
but demand others hear us
we don’t look
but want someone to find us
our problems are bigger
our achievements are greater
we want to be discovered
but as the curtain falls
on our masquerade
the next act of our production
begins
