It’s so easy to
spell and so hard
to decide. I watched
as each layer was
pulled softly away –
sky poured through.
Don’t be so smart.
It only gets more
difficult with time.
But the air goes
clear at the end,
crisp and cool.
I spent most of my time in the waiting
room reading old New Yorkers.
